wafblog v3.0

mmmm…. first week back to uni. i get two days off a week (: which is good, definitely give me more time to focus on my subjects, and hopefully do well. so we’ll see how it goes.

other than that, not much else has been happening. su and i went to the city a couple of times, and that was cool (: haven’t seen for ages and it’s always good to catch up (:

oh! i bought a very very funky basketball on friday, only cost me $10, and it’s rainbow coloured! and su and i saw disney DVDs for only $20 each. so, *cough* su bought 13 of them. i got the BIONICLE dvd for $10, which is heaps cool. i just finished watching it. mike keeps referring to the ‘mask of light’ as the ‘ultra rare mega mask of everything that isn’t dark’ and i couldn’t stop laughing. sif mock bionicles AND tazos eh mike? that’s just asking for it :P but yeah, the movie was pretty funky, if just special effects!

oooh yeah :D iris and frankie gave me a (belated) birthday present too! funky optical mouse with _blue_ light and the royal tenenbaums on dvd. funkeh-ness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow. that’s kinda all i can say really. i’m kinda ashamed that i didn’t get to see this movie earlier. *and* i’ve had the soundtrack for years, but the first time i listened to it, i hated it! now, after watching the movie, i feel like a complete FOOL! i mean seriously.. ewan mcgregor singing! lol. well, i thought it was an amazing movie, got off to a slow start tho, was a bit.. WTH at the beginning.. but it really picked off. and was good to be able to go “ooh! i know that song” regularly throughout (: so yeah. kudos to baz luhrmann, moulin rouge gets 5 thumbs up from me! i’m gonna listen to the soundtrack all week now :P

anyways uni tmr. no actual classes for me. but i’m still going in. hopefully this will be a good year. *fingers crossed*

well, was my last day at SWSAHS today. left with mixed feelings.. happy to be going back to uni, and as much as i enjoyed what i was doing, it would be better if i was getting paid :P that said, i had a great time there, learnt so much and not just about webpages! i’m glad i got the opportunity to work there, and i won’t forget the wonderful ppl i met, and the great times we had. especially running my “oldpages.asp” page and watching the CPU usage on the server jump to 100%! TWICE! bahaha. so, went out to lunch at the black rose cafe with the dev guys, which was heaps cool and then spent the arvo just chatting and went round and gave everyone a choccie. then took a few photos… don’t think i could leave without a few photos

simon gave me 3 CDs too! lemon jelly – “lost horizons”, bar grooves – “later” and “beats with balls” which came with the lemon jelly album apparently. all very chill out/ambient type of music. very popular at ISD, so i’ve been listening to heaps of that type of music whilst working. which is great, seems like good music for study as well. so, in honour of my work experience, song of the week has been upgraded to “album of the week” and that goes to bar grooves – “later”.

bec’s 21st – masquerade ball! it was pretty damn funky (: i wore a dress (gasp!) and made my own mask, which was heaps of fun.

we got there a bit late (9pm!) and were completely starving, so went to maccas and had nuggets + chips for dinner. which is pretty bad considering how many nuggets i’ve been eating lately… anyways, the best part of the night was when mike was talking about ‘rush hour 2′ and the quote “do you want to get naked and sacrifice a goat?”. so dan dared him to walk back into the party and say that to the first girl he saw. that just happened to be one of the three birthday girls! BAHAHAH. the look she gave him was *classic*. so that really made my day. haven’t seen somebody do something silly just for fun in such a long time (

yes.. that is exactly what su told me to do whilst trying to make a shot in a pool game. i wasn’t sure if she was trying to help me or send me subliminal msgs LOL. so, i think i’ve become a bar junkie. finally moving on from card games and the like at wenty level 4, we now find ourselves playing pool in the level 2 wenty bar several afternoons a week. i truly am becoming an engineer.

meanwhile, the tazo frenzy has taken over. got 18 packets of chips today (: poor su and sally. actually sally who had to carry them in a bag all the way up the stairs. hehe. so, lots of tazos for me, and not even that many packets of chips to eat! w00t :D

watched the first episode of one tree hill too. looks alright. typical sort of teenage drama, but it has potential. hopefully i can get a few more episodes.
