And my time!
Goddamn. I love Google and I love Wiki, but sometimes, it’s just so hard to tear yourself away.
I went out to dinner on the weekend for Danny’s birthday, and during the course of the night we somehow ended up talking about the ‘Seven Deadly Sins’. Unfortunately, we couldn’t remember all seven (OMG how did we forget ‘greed’?) and so, naturally, I went to www.wikipedia.org to check it out. From there, I not only checked out the ‘Seven Deadly Sins’, but also the ‘Seven Heavenly Virtues’ and then a whole host of demons/mythological beasts, the Spear of Destiny, and the Skull & Bones secret society. I finally called it quits after reading about the ‘ziz’.
I was going to link all of those, but frankly I can’t be bothered. I think it’s much more interesting for you to type in one of those topics mentioned above and to see what grabs you. I think that’s probably where the procrastination comes in. You can literally jump from one topic to another and at the end you’re reading something quite unrelated. Admittedly, I don’t believe that wiki is the most reliable source. I think it’s a great starting point for research and can usually give you a fairly nice summary on whatever topic it is that you’re looking for. More than that, there’s usually a bunch of really helpful links down the bottom. Of course, how long the wiki is really depends on who’s contributed to it. Some of them are like essays.
And seeing as I have now wasted lots of time, I’d better go do that report of mine. *sigh*.
